Access Point #1: Jim Asfoor Trail & Vietnam Veterans Trail (Riverside Park)

East Veterans Memorial Dr

Directions:

Head west on State St towards the river. Turn right onto East Veterans Memorial Dr. at Riverside Park. Turn right at Visitor Center / International Friendship Gardens. Trail may be accessed through the Gardens or at the back of the parking lot to the right of the Gardens.

Access Point #2: Grand Crossing Trail (East Ave)

Directions:

Heading west on La Crosse St, turn right onto East Ave at the stoplights. Continue to the end of the road. The trailhead is just ahead.

Access Point #3: Cottonwood Trail & Wood Duck Trail (Myrick Park)

Directions:

Heading west on La Crosse St, turn right onto Myrick Park Dr. Continue to the end of the road at the Ecocenter parking lot. Trail access is on the eastern side of the parking lot. Continue east beyond the Marsh access point, to the Wood Duck Trail that will lead to the Hixon trails.

Head west on State St towards the river. Turn right on Front St. Sidewalk to trail is at the end of the cul-de-sac.

Access Point #5: Vietnam Veterans Trail (2nd Street Access)

Directions:

Head west on La Crosse St to 2nd St. Entrance to trail will be near the Oktoberfest grounds.

Directions:

If heading north on 4th St, access to the trail is at the bridge on Copeland Ave prior to the Festival Foods. 

If heading south on Copeland, access will be on the bridge just past Festival Foods.

There are multiple access points at this bridge, on both sides of the La Crosse River.

Access Point #7: Vietnam Veterans Trail (7th Street North)

Directions:

Heading west on La Crosse St, turn right onto 7th St. N at the stop signs. Continue to the end of the cul-de-sac. Access to the trail is available between the two buildings, as marked on the parking lot pavement.

From Copeland Ave, turn into the Festival Foods parking lot. To the right side of the building, when looking at it, there is trail access.

Northbound on West Ave, turn right onto St. Cloud St which becomes St. James St. Trail access will be on your right where St. James Street turns and becomes River Valley Dr. Mitchell Red Cloud Jr. Trail access starts in the middle of Grand Crossing Trail on the north side of the La Crosse River.
